DHCP over VLAN interface fails on Intel i350

Issue

  • When we create a VLAN interface on an Intel i350 NIC, the VLAN interface cannot get an IP address via DHCP.
  • dhclient eth1 works, but dhclient eth1.100 does not work.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
  • Intel i350 NIC
  • DHCP server on VLAN
