Why is fontconfig.i386 failing to install in RHEL5?

Issue

When installing fontconfig.i386 it give error message and yum exit with 1. This stopping our installation. This problem not occur every time.

Running Transaction
Installing     : freetype                                                 1/5
Installing     : fontconfig                                               2/5/usr/share/fonts/bitstream-vera: failed to write cache

error: %post(fontconfig-2.4.1-7.el5.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
