ANSI escape sequence in JBoss EAP 6.1+ stdout redirection

Issue

• While starting JBoss 6.1 on my RHEL5 server like "standalone.sh > jboss61.out", then getting strange characters at the beginning of each line. This doesn't occur on JBoss 6.0. For JBoss 6.1 it does not occur on Windows. How to correct this?

• Is there a way that console log does not show colours when an error occurs?

• We found the JBoss server log containing strange characters "ESC" with square brackets in the server.log in Linux box. See sample logging data in attached.
