  • blacklist option deprecated on RHEL 7 in /etc/kdump.conf.
  • This error is observed when blacklisting a module:

    kdumpctl: Deprecated kdump config option: blacklist
    
  • A module must be blacklisted in crash kernel to prevent oom killer or other crash kernel failures.
