Is it possible to mount the root filesystem read-only (Stateless Linux)?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Trying to mount the root "/" partition read-only on boot (in the fstab file) does not seem to work. This only works after a reboot. Is there a way to mount it read-only on boot?

Environment
