Cloned server can not find boot device with LABEL

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Cloned server can not find boot device with LABEL

The error reported is:

fsck,ext3: Unable to testore 'LABEL=/boot' or

fsck,ext3: Unable to testore 'LABEL=/dev/sda'

If substitute LABEL with the UUID=..... of /dev/sda1 which is the boot partition system boots up.

There is one disk /dev/sda. One partition /dev/sda1 is the boot and on the /dev/sda2 partition, which is an LVM type, there are two lvs. One for the / and the other for the swap.
