Why does Pacemaker failover a SAP Hana cluster resource even when the System Replication is not working?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • If a failure occurs while the System Replication between two SAP Hana systems is stopped, why does Pacemaker still failover the Master resource to the other node?
  • In the case there is a dual-PRIMARY situation (two SAP Hana systems report themselves as PRIMARY), why does Pacemaker failover the Master role from one node to another whenever a failure occurs?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or 7
  • Pacemaker cluster
  • SAP Hana System Replication
