Delay on initial read of large files on XFS filesystems on RHEL
Issue
- Reading big files on XFS file system takes a long time on the first attempt.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- kernel-3.10.0-862.26.1.el7 (All kernel versions effected)
- XFS filesystems hosted on a device with slow read characteristics.
