Differences in the localhost entry in /etc/hosts on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems

On some servers there seems to be a difference in the default entry for 127.0.0.1 in
/etc/hosts:127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost -
and :
127.0.0.1 svlirc16 localhost.localdomain localhost -
What's the reason for this change?
