How to empty the message queues during JBoss server shutdown

Issue

• Is there anyway to instruct JBoss to finish processing the message queues before server shutdown completes?
  • When a server shutdown is initiated with messages still left to be processed (in the queue) by the service, those messages are left in queue (persisted in DB) and are being processed when the server is restarted.
• We want to empty the queue (process all the messages) before server goes down gracefully.
