Duplicate Sessionid when using BIG-IP F5 loadbalancer with JBoss EAP

A couple of times a day, for a new session we get the same sessionid of an existing session and session data is getting overridden. Is this a known behaviour ? i.e is this a session replication feature in JBoss EAP ?

We are getting duplicate session in our application in a clustered setup. User data is being overitten as a result of session duplication
- The web app has web services for iphone application. The problem is sometimes at peak usage, one user sees the other person's information on iPhone. The iphone app is passing jsessionid in the url to keep the session of logged in user on the server. What we suspect is the iPhone is sending cached jsessionid that was generated some time ago and when the user uses iPhone app again, this very old jsessionid is passed to the server which might have collided with the current
- We are observing a weird issue on one of the applications in our production environment where in the users can see each others data. We have taken all the necessary action at the code level but still the issue is present.
