Unable to write on samba share from windows client.

Issue

  • Not able to write on samba share from windows client.
  • Configured samba share in 'writeable' mode but for some reason it is read only.
[testshare]
        path= /testshare
        writable = yes
        browseable= yes
        guest ok = yes

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • samba
