firstboot shows 'Insufficient memory to configure kdump!' if memory is less then 4GB

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When RHEL6 Snapshot13 starts on the server with total system memory is less than 4096MB, following message is output on kdump step of firstboot.

       "Insufficient memory to configure kdump!"

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.0
