Issue

• Want to disable second port of fibre channel adapter for test purposes, to test SAN failover behaviour.

Resolution

For Qlogic HBA Adapters, the kernel module qla2xxx doesn't offer any option to disable a FC port.

Alternatively, for testing purposes, you could disable the port at the switch or detach the FC cable from the card's port.
