How can I access nfs shares executing 'cd /net/host' using the nfsv4 protocol?

Can I use automounter to access /net/hostname also with nfs4?
Can I use automounter host maps using nfs4?
Why can I not cd /net/hostname and have the nfs share automatically mounted using nfs4 while it works for nfs3?
