Attempting to start cluster service with clusvcadm results in "Temporary failure; try again" in RHEL 5 or 6
Issue
- We're unable to start a virtual machine in our xen cluster with
clusvcadm:
# clusvcadm -e vm:app1
Local machine trying to enable vm:app1...Temporary failure; try again
- Cluster service fails to start with
clusvcadm, giving error "Temporary failure; try again"
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
- Cluster services were locked in
rgmanagerwithclusvcadm -lat some point
