Does Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 supports PXE/normal boot over bonded NICs?
Issue
- While attempting to
pxeboot
a diskless host, supplyingbonding
parameters todracut
via thepxelinux.cfg
file, the system fails to mount the root drive. - If configured without bonding the system succeeds in mounting the root drive.
- Here are the boot parameters mentioned on
anaconda
command line.

- Does Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 supports PXE/normal boot over bonded NICs?
- The underlying disks are
iSCSI
disks, so because thebond0
device was not yet ready and configured, so the following kernel panic message was received during boot.
