Does Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 supports PXE/normal boot over bonded NICs?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • While attempting to pxeboot a diskless host, supplying bonding parameters to dracut via the pxelinux.cfg file, the system fails to mount the root drive.
  • If configured without bonding the system succeeds in mounting the root drive.
  • Here are the boot parameters mentioned on anaconda command line.
linux text selinux=no bond=bond0:eth0,eth1:mode=active-backup,miimon=100,primary=eth0 ip=192.168.0.10 netmask=255.255.255.0 gateway=192.168.0.254
