Does Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 supports PXE/normal boot over bonded NICs?
Issue
- While attempting to
pxeboota diskless host, supplyingbondingparameters todracutvia thepxelinux.cfgfile, the system fails to mount the root drive. - If configured without bonding the system succeeds in mounting the root drive.
- Here are the boot parameters mentioned on
anacondacommand line.
linux text selinux=no bond=bond0:eth0,eth1:mode=active-backup,miimon=100,primary=eth0 ip=192.168.0.10 netmask=255.255.255.0 gateway=192.168.0.254
- Does Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 supports PXE/normal boot over bonded NICs?
- The underlying disks are
iSCSIdisks, so because thebond0device was not yet ready and configured, so the following kernel panic message was received during boot.
