'sar -P ALL -f xxxx' does not display activity information

Issue

On a system with 4 processors  and 3 of them disabled on-line,   run 'sar -P ALL -o xxxx 1 3' to save the cpu activity into a binary file, and then run command 'sar -P ALL -f xxxx' to display it, but  it doesn't show any activity information besides a header.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
  • sysstat-7.0.2-3.el5
