Issue

  • In RHEL 8, "xorg-x11-server" crashes with a Segmentation fault at address 0x0.

  • Once this error occurs and xorg is crashed, login via GUI is not possible.

Environment

  • RHEL 8

  • Kernel 4.18.0-60.el8.x86_64

  • xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.20.3-4.el8.x86_64

  • Observed only on RHEL 8 guests hosted on RHEVM as of now
