RHEL7.6: NFS4 client using gssproxy with kerberos NFS share and Active Directory on windows 2016 sees process hangs in gss_cred_init
Issue
Machine (and autofs) hang due to underlying issue with rpc.gssd. Oldest blocked tasks in the vmcore are blocked over 14 hours and waiting inside gss_cred_init() for an upcall to complete. This points at some underlying issue, possibly with kerberos or rpc.gssd itself.
Environment
- NFS client (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6)
- gssproxy used on the NFS client
- NFS server (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6)
- NFSv4.1 with kerberos
