How do I install USBClerk on my windows client to support native mode usb redirection

Issue

  • After following the instructions outlined in the installation docs, I am unable to successfully redirect USB from a windows client into a RHEL guest. The error in virt-viewer is:
USB redirection error: *Could not redirect JMicron Technology Corp. / JMicron USA Technology Corp. JM20329 SATA Bridge*: Could not open usb device: Operation not supported or unimplemented on this platform [-12]
  • Where JMicron Technology Corp. / JMicron USA Technology Corp. JM20329 SATA Bridge* is the USB device being shared.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.1
  • Windows client
