Cannot Access Files Via Link On A Read Only File System

Issue

  • When running as a stateless node, it is often necessary to enable persistent storage via a link on a read only file system to writeable disk.

  • With Kernel versions prior to 2.6.32-358 this was possible.

  • With RHEL 6.4 and later this no longer works.
