Issue

  • A 2 node RAC cluster became inaccessible via its public interface.  Could not be accessed via ping, ssh, or application
  • RAC interconnect remained up and no evictions were seen while cluster became inaccessible on the public network

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 Update 5
  • Oracle RAC
