The sysctl command's man page doesn't describe the option -A correctly.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The sysctl command's man page doesn't describe  the option -A correctly.
  • Please see the man page of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 sysctl first.
     -A Same as -a

  • Let's see the man page of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 sysctl.
-A Display all values currently available in table form.

Since sysctl on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 works as well as Red Hat Enterprise Linux  5, the above description of -A should be the same as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 .

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version Number 6
  • procps-3.2.8-14.el6.x86_64
