Method for Proficing IP Separated Subsystems in Red Hat Certificate System 8.1

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • Current method for creating ip separation of subsystems is not sufficient.
  • Desired solution:
    • Improved automation in pkicreate to provide option to install the instance in IP separated config against pre-configured IP addresses on the host, with additional intelligence and functionality in pki-silent/GUI wizard to recognize the IP separated configuration as input arguments.
    • Improved post-install automation (that is, after pkicreate installs the instance in port separated configuration) whereby the post-install (pki-silent/GUI wizard or something else) will accept the port separated configuration as input arguments and produce an IP separated configuration against pre-configured IP addresses on the host, to include the Tomcat reconfig outlined above so the Tomcat interfaces are only listening on a single host.
