Why NIC is not detected and booting logs shows error "bnx2 <bus-id> Firmware not running, aborting." ?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • NIC on the system is not loaded/detected OR not seen in ifconfig output.
  • When checked the recent system boot logs, can see below error while initializing card.

  • Why above firwmare related error is seen and how to resolve it ?
