  • The following message are seen in /var/log/messages file:
Jul 19 12:15:35 server1.example.com CRITICAL: Main Memory - Uncorrectable Memory Error (Board 4, Memory Module 1) or (Board 4, Memory Module 8).

or

Aug 11 00:50:10 server2.example.com hpasmlited[19911]: CRITICAL: Uncorrectable Memory Error (System Memory, Memory Module 0)
  • Server unexpectedly rebooted, IML had following entry
0042 Critical       04:13  xx/xx/xxxx 04:13   xx/xx/xxxx 0001
LOG: Uncorrectable Memory Error ((Processor 1, Memory Module 5))
