Adding an ISO via RHV RESTAPI disables serial console on the VM
問題
- VM serial console getting disabled during install
- By default, the VM serial console is disabled. This can be enabled by using the VMs->Edit->Console menu in RHV or by using the REST API.
- Once enabled, this options remains enabled persistently across reboots.
- However, when I call the “start” REST API call to boot a VM from an ISO image and install, the serial console seems to “disappear”: it is disabled.
- This means that if I specify a console ttyS0 device on the boot prompt, then the VM will crash with a kernel panic at boot time.
