Why the recovery ISO fails to mount with the error 'mount unknown filesystem type UDF' ?

Issue

  • After upgrading the Rear to version 2.4 the recovery ISO fails to mount with the below error message:

    Mounting with mount /dev/disk/by-label/RELAXRECOVER /tmp/rear.xxxxxx/outputfs
mount unknown filesystem type UDF
ERROR Mount command mount /dev/disk/by-label/RELAXRECOVER /tmp/rear.xxxxxx/outputfs failed

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x
  • rear 2.4
