Can I change the information in RPM's database without actually installing or updating packages?
Issue
Is there a way to change the NEVRA (Name, Epoch, Version, Release, Architecture) of an installed RPM without actually installing a new version of it?
I'd just like to run a command that changes the information in RPM's database about an installed package.
Environment
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), all versions
