How does qpid JCA adapter behave during cluster fail-over in prepare/commit phase of XA transaction?

Issue

We use XA transactions in qpid JCA adapter of qpid broker.

How does the client work when qpid-cluster gets failover in the prepare phase of XA transaction ?
How does the client work when qpid-cluster gets failover in the commit phase of XA transaction ?

Does the client retry automatically? Or Does some exception occur? Or something else?

Environment

  • MRG Messaging (any version)
    • qpid JCA adapter
  • JBoss AS (any version)
