X11 is erroneously listening on port 6000

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • The X Window Server is erroneously listening on port 6000, whereas it didn't in previous releases.
  • The X Window server is not honoring DisallowTCP=true set in /etc/gdm/custom.conf, can this be fixed?
  • Security scan is failing against xorg as it is now listening on port 6000.
  • I can't disable port 6000 listening on xorg.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Package xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.20.1-5.1.el7 or newer (all architectures)
  • Package gdm with a version older than 3.28.2-11 (all architectures)
