Will there be problems running a RHEV cluster at the end of a high latency link?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.1
- High latency network link between RHEV-M and RHEV-H
Issue
- We're interested in trying to add one host in India as a single host in a separate cluster in RHEV manager. Will this work OK with 165ms latency between host and manager?
- Since we will only use one host no migrations will be done, only start, stop and console operations. Storage for the guests in India will have NFS shares (netapp) locally on 1Gbit Network.
Resolution
- There should be no issues with running a RHEV cluster over such a link.
