QLogic QL41xxx qed-based NICs no longer visible after updating to RHEL 7.6

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When booting with kernel-3.10.0-957.el7 the qede interfaces do not appear and messages like the following are seen in the logs:

    [qed_dbg_parse_attn:7553(eno1-0)] pglcs (Interrupt) : address_error [address 0x00008180, bit 0]
[qed_mcp_set_link:1348(eno1-0)]MCP response failure, aborting

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6
  • QLogic qede-based hardware
