Is git repository in RHPAM on OpenShift persisted?

Issue

• When RHPAM is installed on Openshift with Red Hat RHPAM authoring template the git directory (.niogit) is inside the pod. Does this mean when pod fails all assets will be lost?
• Is there any recommendation how to set up the git as a mount or other option that promise that when the Business Central pod is failing then I can continue my developing after launching a new pod?
