  • Getting black screen with a frozen mouse pointer on screen

  • Problem can be observed while:

    • Switching runlevel from 5 to 3
    • Hitting Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to kill X session
    • Shoutdown or Reboot of system from GUI mode
