Issue

• Xorg crashes while being killed
• Problem is observed after upgrade to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9
• Getting black screen with a frozen mouse pointer on screen
• Below is captured in Xorg logs

• Problem can be observed while:

  • Switching runlevel from 5 to 3
  • Hitting Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to kill X session
