OpenShift router not receiving traffic after setting DROP_SYN_DURING_RESTART

Issue

  • No web traffic is making it to OpenShift routers after enabling the DROP_SYN_DURING_RESTART environment variable.
  • Clients are hanging after configuring DROP_SYN_DURING_RESTART.
  • Router pod goes into CrashLoop due to failing health checks:
