Why after upgrading mysql to mysql-5.1.69-1.el6_4.x86_64, getting "Warning: Skipping the data of table mysql.event. Specify the --events option explicitly." message?

Issue

  • The backup script uses mysqldump --defaults-file=/root/.my.cnf --force --single-transaction mysql and since the latest update (i.e: mysql-5.1.69-1.el6_4.x86_64) getting message Warning: Skipping the data of table mysql.event. Specify the --events option explicitly.
