Packages from lazy sync repos not accessible to clients accessing Satellite/Capsule under different hostname

Issue

  • having Satellite or Capsule clients that access the Sat/Caps under an alternate hostname, like:
    • having multi-homed setup for Satellite or Capsule
    • or having HA Capsules
  • all certificates setup work properly
  • BUT an attempt to fetch a package from a repository with On Demand download policy ("Lazy sync" feature) fails

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite or Capsule 6.3 or newer
