Kickstart installation does not work via satellite server if DHCP is enabled on satellite server.

Issue

  • A dhcpd service is running satellite server which for some reason doesn't provide correct details to our system during kickstart. The clients get an IP address, but times out when trying to connect to the TFTP service.

The kickstarting client output:

CLIENT MAC ADDR: <mac> GUID: <guid>  
CLIENT IP: 10.55.9.100 MASK: 255.255.255.0 DHCP IP: 10.55.9.20 
GATEWAY IP: 10.55.9.1 
PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout 
TFTP....
