mod_cluster shows heavy load in MCMP requests with many backend JVMs
Issue
- We run a httpd/mod_cluster balancer with hundreds of JVMs behind it. Even without much client request traffic, we are seeing some considerable CPU load and long running STATUS requests on httpd.
Environment
- JBoss Core Services (JBCS) httpd 2.4.29
- mod_cluster
- JBoss Web Server (JWS) Tomcat
- JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
