SSL ASCII transfer of large files fails with one of the following error messages:

get: Fatal error: gnutls_record_recv: An unexpected TLS packet was received. (lftp Linux)
get: Fatal error: SSL_read: wrong version number (lftp Windows)
SSL3 alert write: fatal: protocol version (winscp)
