The nfsnobody UID:GID changed from 4294967294 to 65534 after a RHEL 5 upgrade.

  • The nfsnobody UID:GID values after an upgrade:
    $ grep nfsnobody /etc/passwd
    nfsnobody:x:65534:65534:Anonymous NFS User:/var/lib/nfs:/sbin/nologin
  • Prior to the upgrade, the nfsnobody UID:GID values are as follows:
    nfsnobody:x:4294967294:4294967294:Anonymous NFS User:/var/lib/nfs:/sbin/nologin
