How to change the default deploy folder in JBoss EAP 5?

Issue

  • We are migrating from JBoss 4.3 EAP to 5.2 EAP. In the older version, we have configured different deploy folders to development applications (deploy_dev) and JBoss internal services (deploy_serv). I'm trying to do the same in JBoss 5. I have modified $HOME_DIR/conf/bootstrap/profile.xml and vfs.xml to do the same, but I'm having the following errors after renaming the default deploy directory to deploy_serv:
Deployment "WarDeployer" is in error due to the following reason(s): java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/jboss-eap-5.2/jboss-as/server/profile/deploy/jbossweb.sar/server.xml, **ERROR**
