A gfs2 filesystem is corrupted after a gfs2_grow was interrupted by the cluster node being fenced

Issue

  • A gfs2 filesystem is corrupted after a gfs2_grow was interrupted by the cluster node being fenced. Then when they run gfs2_grow after reboot the following error is produced.
# gfs2_grow /mnt/gfs2        
Error: No resource groups found.
gfs2_grow complete.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6, 7 (with the High Availability Add On and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • A Global Filesystem 2(gfs2)
