virt-viewer for Windows does not report a build number in the version string

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • If I look at the Help, About menu on the Windows virt-viewer, it doesn't list the build number. The version has remained the same from the beta version of virt-viewer and it's difficult to tell what build of the client our users have. When the version remains the same but the build number is incremented, this should be displayed to the user somehow.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.1
  • virt-viewer 0.5.3 provided in rhevm-spice-client-x86-cab-3.1-8 and rhevm-spice-client-x64-cab-3.1-8
