Using distinct paths for GC and EAP server logs
Issue
- One of our applications is suffering from long GC pauses likely due to the disk on which the GC logs are written being flooded by (other) IO.
- As a workaround we would like to write the GC logs to a specific path (e.g. volatile memory) that is distinct from the
JBOSS_LOG_DIR(where the EAP server logs are).
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Server (EAP) 7.1.4, standalone mode (refer to solution 269023 for GC logging in domain mode).
