Issue

  • insights-client.service runs into a timeout

    # systemctl start insights-client.service
# systemctl status insights-client.service

systemd[1]: insights-client.service watchdog timeout (limit 10min)!
systemd[1]: insights-client.service: main process exited, code=killed, status=6/ABRT
systemd[1]: Unit insights-client.service entered failed state
systemd[1]: insights-client.service failed.

  • The following message can be seen in /var/log/messages or the journal:

    insights-client.service watchdog timeout (limit 10min)!

  • /var/tmp gets filled over time with partial sos reports in /var/tmp/XXXXXX/insights-* directories
