Custom certificates causing internal build falure with x509 certificate error.

Issue

  • After configuring the custom certificates for docker-registry internal applications fail to deploy.
error: build error: Failed to push image: Get https://docker-registry.default.svc:5000/v1/_ping: x509: certificate is valid for custom.docker.route.com, not docker-registry.default.svc

  • Openshift Container Platform
    • v3.7 , v3.9
