ccs cannot connect to ricci and prints "Unable to connect to <host>, make sure the ricci server is started."

Issue

  • ccs cannot connect to ricci and prints "Unable to connect to <host>, make sure the ricci server is started".
  • ccs -h localhost --getconf fails with "Unable to connect to localhost, make sure the ricci server is started" while ricci is listening and firewall is not in use.
# service ricci status
ricci (pid  28631) is running...

# grep ricci sos_commands/networking/netstat_-neopa 
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:11111               0.0.0.0:*                   LISTEN      0          87171379   28631/ricci         off (0.00/0/0)
unix  3      [ ]         STREAM     CONNECTED     87171381 28631/ricci         

# ccs -h localhost --getconf
Unable to connect to localhost, make sure the ricci server is started.
